Calgary’s October home sales flat over 2023 but supply for lower-priced homes lagging

CALGARY — October home sales in Calgary were mostly flat compared to last year, with 2,174 homes sold, a slight increase of 0.2% from October 2023. Sales of homes priced above $600,000 rose, while lower-priced homes saw declines. The benchmark price for all home types was $592,500, down 0.7% from September but up 4.5% from last year. New listings increased by 21.6% to 3,264, and inventory levels rose by 55% to 4,966 units, with nearly half priced above $600,000.
