Calgary's city administration has proposed a 3.6% overall property tax increase for 2025, driven by population growth, inflation, and increased spending. A single-family home will see a 3.9% tax rise, while condominiums will increase by 10.5%. Monthly utility fees will also rise by 3.7%. The average single-family home will pay about $161.52 more in 2025. The operating budget is set to increase by 11.4%, focusing on infrastructure, public safety, and transit. Councillors will discuss these adjustments later this month.
